The Stars had 2 earned runs to 1 for the Heat in a great game by both teams. Grant McElroy hit his third "over the fence" homerun of the tourney for the Heat.
7/12/2008	12	Inside Sports KC Blues (5)	Lincoln Heat (17)	Summer Sizzler -Des Moines	The Heat used a 15-run 3rd inning to break open a 2-2 game. In the inning, Grant McElroy hit two 3-run homeruns. Sam Donlan, Eric Anderson and Reid Dalton each added 2 hits and Christian Leblanc and Spencer Kirk also had RBI hits.

Lukas Mroz and Spencer Kirk added 2 hits each. Eric Anderson gave up 1 hit over 5 1/3 innings for the win.
7/11/2008	12	Lincoln Heat (3)	Iowa Sticks (2)	Summer Sizzler -Des Moines	The Heat scored 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to get the win. Reid Dalton singled, Lukas Mroz drove in the tying run with a drawn in infiled and Eric Anderson drove in the winning run with a single. Spencer Kirk pitched 3 innings of no hit ball in relief to get the win over the Iowa Major State Champion.
7/6/2008	12	Millard Black Nights (7)	Lincoln Cyclones (8)	State Tournament	In the Quarterfinals of the State Tournament the Black Nights jumped out to a 7-1 lead after 3 innings but the Cyclones came back to win the game after one extra inning under the California rules system. Tanner Zeutzius shut out the Black Nights in the final 3 innings. Grant Hall had the key hit of the game with a 3 run home run in the 4th inning.
7/6/2008	12	Grand Island Riverdogs (14)	Lincoln Cyclones (15)	State Tournament	The Cyclones won the State Championship on one of the most incredible plays ever. The Cyclones tied the game with 3 runs in the top of the 5th inning only to see GI go ahead with a 2 run home run in bottom of that inning. The Cyclones scored 4 runs in the top of the 6th inning lead by a 3 run home run by Grant Hall. The Riverdogs scored one run on the bottom of the 6th inning and loaded the based with no outs. The Cyclones moved the infield in and the GI batter hit a low liner to Brandon Utrup and he caught it before it hit the ground...he then threw to 3rd to get that runner out before he got back to the base and Mason Tyrrell threw to 2nd to get that runner before he got back for a Triple Play. It was an amazing end to an hard fought game by both teams.

Eric Anderson picked up the win striking out 5. The Lincoln Heat are AAA State Champs!
6/28/2008	12	Omaha Stampede (8)	Lincoln Spikes (2)	Kelly Field	State Tournament - The Stampede held the Spikes to 3 hits and two runs while soring 8 runs on 10 hits in the game. The Spikes had 1 hit each from Johnson, Cuddeford and Musiel with Cuddeford and Musiel scoring the lone runs.

The Spikes Alex Thimm made a sports center top 10 catch for the last out of the game to hold off a late run by the Heat.

The Mariners tied the game at 5-5 with 3 runs in the 5th inning. It was a well played game. Zach Petersen had the game winning hit in the 7th and Adam Horn and Brandon Utrup pitched well for the Cyclones. Mason Tyrell added two hits including a double.
